Click Here to Get your Basket Now!

Conventional Basket - In the conventional basket we focus our buying as follows: High Quality, Low Cost and As Local as Possible…

I want to share that for my family, I use the basket as a guide to make sure we are getting as much produce in our diets as we should. We started with one a week, and now we are getting a basket and a pack a week!  I have noticed that with all the healthy food being eaten there’s no room for unhealthy snacks!

This basket is our best valued item, as volunteers assemble it on-site. Remember, any participant can come volunteer and Bountiful Baskets wouldn’t happen without volunteers, so please take the time periodically to volunteer. Also, I have noticed that I am better about getting all the produce eaten from the week before when I am looking forward to volunteering and visiting with the friends I have made at my site. The social connections and fun on-site help keep me motivated to use up my produce so I can go back for more!

Organic Basket - Just as cool as the Conventional Basket but 100% USDA Certified Organic Produce! Also worth noting; if you are concerned with GMO produce USDA Certified Organic Produce is not to contain any GMO’s and there is oversight and audit built into the certification process. So if GMO’s concern you please go with this option.

Blackberries - twelve 6-oz clamshells – Product of Mexico. Delicious fresh and frozen! Freeze on a cookie sheet, then put in bags for smoothies or as edible ice cubes in drinks; add to pancakes and muffins; make home made syrup; top yogurt, cereal, ice cream, and cheesecake (my mind sure wandered right toward dessert!); include in fruit salad! We love them in our fresh fruit crepes on Sunday morning.

ORGANIC Non-GMO White Corn - approx 48 ears of ORGANIC Non-GMO white corn - Product of USA. Fantastic fresh (grill! steam! boil! salsa!), frozen, and bottled! Stock up to have sweet summer corn all year long. Check out our blog for corn recipes!

White Peaches (Semi-Freestone) - Approximately 25 Lbs – Product of USA. Summer means stonefruit! Peaches freeze and bottle beautifully. We love them just fresh or alongside a fun snack platter: sheep’s cheese, figs, almonds, cherries, apricots, berries, and sweet citrus (with the first three is my absolute favorite!). You can grill or poach them, too – and, of course, make jam or jelly, syurp, compote. Infuse summertime drinks, add to smoothies, popsicles, sorbets, cobblers, top desserts, ice cream, yogurt, and granola. Wonderful!

Large Watermelon - Approx 16 pound case – Product of Mexico. A big bite of summer! We can’t wait to dig into fresh watermelon, Watermelon Agua Fresca, Watermelon Pickles, Watermelon Salsa, Watermlon Gelato and frozen fruit pops and fresh skewers, and Watermelon Salad (try cut watermelon tossed with lime juice, feta, red onion, and calamata olives)! Scoop out and serve bite-sized watermelon chunks, with other fruit, in the rind!

Firecracker Pack - Hoping for Chiles 6 types-Green, Dried Chipotle, Cayenne, Gypsy Sweet, Yellow Hot, Hungarian; Avocado, Lime, Garlic, and Cilantro. We can’t wait to make up some killer salsa and taco sauce with these chile variety!

Grill Pack -  Hoping for Pineapple, Organic Corn, Asparagus, Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Grape Tomatoes, Green Onions, Green Chiles, Mushrooms, and Romaine Heart. All of these items are awesome plain, marinated, or sauced on the grill! We love celebrating the Fourth of July and all that it means. We have games with prizes – and punishments usually involving being the target of water balloons – around US History trivia, word searches, word scrambles, and cross words. Yes, we’re proud geeks! We used to have a garden party outside with friends. Now that we’re in Arizona, we have it indoors (with breaks for sprinkler running and water balloon fights) because of the heat. But we still grill to our heart’s content!

Pie Pack - Hoping for Key Limes, Blackberries, Blueberries, Granny Smith Apples, Lemons and Peaches. Pies for the Fourth of July! My family likes cake, but they love pie! This pack lets me make everyone happy. Last year I made ramekin mini pies with the overflow as gifts for our summer activity coaches. They were a huge hit!

Organic Coconut Oil with scent (less processed) - 1/2 gallon expeller pressed in a glass jar. Expeller pressed and organic, this delicious and healthy treat will thrill your family. Making popcorn with it is the BEST! One of my favorite wintertime uses for this coconut oil (besides stovetop popcorn!) is the care of chapped-chapped-chapped and cracked knuckles. Want to make your brownies extra special? Use Virgin Coconut Oil! The coconutty scent comes through and is delicious!

Bountiful Baskets Bread Items

With no artificial preservatives, critters want to eat this bread as much as we do! Refrigerate or freeze promptly. Bountiful Baskets breads freeze beautifully! If you’re going to use them within a month, you can simply pop the loves into the freezer. Leave the outer packaging as well for an additional layer of protection. If you want to store them longer term, wrap snuggly with a plastic grocery sack or plastic wrap. When ready to use, thaw on the counter, but remember to open the bag for the first few hours and turn it over frequently to allow any moisture to escape and keep the bread from getting soggy. You can also use frozen bread directly from the freezer for sandwiches and they’ll be thawed by lunch time.
